Food: We accept, can store, and have experience with all kinds of food. (We can provide wet and/or dry kennel food for an extra cost of $2.00 per day.)
Collar with an ID tag: We can provide both collars and name tags as necessary, but it’s easiest to bring your own. They are required to help differentiate between dogs.
Toys: These are not necessary (many dogs ignore them at the kennel anyway) but they are welcome. No more than three and please write your dog’s name on them if possible!
Treats: Any kind are welcome.
Dishes or bowls: We provide them and do not want to get yours lost or mixed up with ours.
Broken or damaged toys: They are a hazard and it’s safest to leave them at home.
Beloved toys: We do our best to keep toys in kennels but they have to come out every morning and may end up in the laundry or can be snuck outside. We don’t want to lose anything precious!
Leashes: These are only required for bringing your dog(s) into the kennel.
We ask that you not leave them behind as we don’t want to get yours lost or mixed up with ours.
Bedding: We can provide beds and/or blankets. It is not necessary to bring these with you unless your dog has a particular bed that he/she is partial to sleeping on. If you do bring your own bedding, we ask that it be something we can fit in our washing machine in case it gets soiled. Try to avoid foam beds—otherwise we may have to put it in storage and replace it with our own.
Crates: Crates are permitted but not preferred. In addition to being ungainly and difficult to remove for daily cleaning, we find that they encourage fearful (and occasionally aggressive) behaviour and are most often completely ignored. The run itself is a confined safe space for your pet and it renders crates mostly unnecessary.
